We understand the physical needs and concerns of Older Adults.  With aging, comes a variety of physiological and biological changes that can lead to decreases in movement and function.  Our fitness training programs positively and effectively impact the functional capacity of older adults.  These integrated programs will focus on:

Consider ongoing, one-on-one fitness training or our NEW 2, 4 and 6 week intensive programs. (see below)

As an in-person client you will receive:

  • Expert one-on-one fitness training and coaching.
  • An extensive fitness assessment and goal setting session.
  • A individualized and integrated exercise program designed to meet your determined goals.  Your program is virtually generated with easy to follow instructions supported by video and photos.   Your program will be reviewed and updated on a monthly basis.
  • Nutrition consultation to determine current eating habits and to establish a nutritional approach to support your fitness efforts.  Extensive nutrition services can be provided through referral to professional nutritionist if desired. (Discounted rates available.)
  • Complementary towel service and water.
  • **During the winter and spring months, all sessions are held at Happy Hour Fitness in Berkeley, CA, an exclusive fitness studio that excels in providing you a welcoming, modern, clean and well stocked environment.   From July to December sessions are held at the A FIT SECOND HALF studio in the Greater Chicagoland Area.

One session = $80
5 pre-paid package = $ 75/session = $375

INTENSIVE PROGRAMS

Has it been your strong desire to exercise but simply did not know what to do?  Or even how to begin?  Maybe you’ve exercised in the past but did not obtain the results you wanted.   It is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed by all of the available options to getting fit.  Also, it is easy to feel intimidated by the multitude of exercise machines and equipment that crowd typical gyms.

Regardless of your level of fitness, age or ability, there is a program that is right for you.

These specialty programs are specifically designed to give you all the tools you need to succeed.  You will learn how to confidently and effectively use exercise to obtain the results you seek.  We will meet 3x per week for a one-hour session for either 2, 4 or 6 weeks.

These integrated program will provide extensive instruction in the following forms of training:

  • Flexibility Training -
  • Cardiorespiratory Training
  • Core Training
  • Balance Training
  • Reactive Training
  • Resistance Training

Not only will you learn HOW to properly exercise but you will also learn the WHY behind each form of training as well as each exercise.  We will focus on proper form, effective breathing, tempo, identified muscle groups and exercise selection.

At the conclusion of either program you will receive a customized physical fitness plan that will include a detailed exercise program that is responsive to your specific need and goal.
